Sonne Scholarship 2019

The Sonne Scholarship program was initiated by the generosity of retired nurse Maybelle Sonne. Members with a good reputation from the Illinois Association of Student Nurses (SNAI) are eligible for the Illinois Nurses Foundation Scholarship. This Scholarship covers tuition and other costs incurred by a student enrolled in a government-approved Nursing program that qualifies for admission as a registered nurse.

The Sonne Scholarship is worth $3,000. The Nursing Scholarship is restricted to Illinois Students who wish to pursue a nursing Career in an Accredited Nursing School in Illinois.  Winner of the Scholarship will receive a year’s free membership in INA upon graduation. The Student must be an undergraduate student, must attend a university or a four-year college
Must have a Minimum 3.5 GPA and must be studying Fulltime.

Arthur L. Davis Scholarship 2019-2020

The Arthur L. Davis Scholarship is awarded to a nurse who intends to serve as a Faculties in Illinois. The scholarship is funded by Arthur L Davis Publishing in honor of Arthur L. Davis (known as Art by his friends and family), who founded the publishing agency in 1983.

The ALD publishes the Voice of Nursing and other 38 publications, reaching a total circulation of more than 2.7 million nurses and pharmacists per quarter. The Scholarship is Worth $1,000 for the best publication. The Articles will be judged on criteria set by the selected judges.

Centennial Scholarship for Nursing Students in Illinois

The Centennial Scholarship is designed for the Nursing Minorities in Illinois. The Scholarship requires you fill out. The PdF below contains a lot of Eligibilities for Masters, PhD and Undergraduate Student to follow through and apply for the Scholarship.

D2 Nurses Association Scholarship

The District 2 Scholarships in Illinois is designed for Nursing Students who are pursuing any of these Nursing programs.
University of Francis, Joliet Junior College, Elgin Community College, College of Dupage.
The Scholarship is worth $1,000. One Scholarship is awarded to each program listed above.

Be enrolled in nursing in either the Baccalaureate or Associate of Arts Degree Program at one of the Following Schools: University of Francis, Joliet Junior College, Elgin Community College, or College of Dupage

D21 Nurses Association Scholarship

The District 21 Scholarship is designed solely for US Veteran Nursing Students with Military Service for the past 10 years and/or Nursing Students who gained employment at the University of Illinois, the University of Chicago, City of Chicago or Stroger Hospital of Cook County.

The Scholarship is worth $1,000 for Tuition fees, books, and other expenses.
The Eligibility is that Students must be enrolled in an accredited NLNAC, CCNE Nursing Program in either the Baccalaureate or Associate of Arts Degree Program.
Must have a Minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 Scale) at the time of Application.

The North Suburban Nursing Scholarship was developed to help undergraduate and graduate student Schools of Nursing Located in North Suburban Chicagoland Schools of Nursing. Illinois Nurses Association, in Honour of historical district 20 helps Student pursuing a degree in any nursing School located in the South Suburban Chicagoland Schools of Nursing with the South Suburban Nursing Scholarship.

District 20 is committed to give the best of education to students pursuing a career in professional Nursing.

Wendy Burgess Memorial (District 19) Scholarships

The Scholarship is designed for Nursing Students who reside in or attend a nursing school within the boundaries of the INA District 19 (West Cook and Dupage Counties)
The Illinois Nurses Association District 19 is Committed to ensuring qualitative education and development are presented to students interested in Careers in the Profession of Nursing within the INA District 19.


AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund

The AfterCollege AACN Scholarship Fund supports undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in nursing care. Specific consideration is given to students in a Research Training Group with the aim of becoming nurses;

Students completing an RN program for BSN or RN for MSN, and those who are enrolled in an accelerated program. Every quarter, a $ 2,500 scholarship will be awarded.

Nursing scholarship periods are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Note that all applicants must already be enrolled (not only accepted) in an AACN member institution.

To check if your school is a member, consult AACN members. Only the finalists will be contacted and may be asked to send letters of recommendation, published articles, prizes, etc. to the selection committee.

American School Health Association Scholarship

With this grant, the American School Health Association (ASHA) financially supports students whose academic and professional goals include youth health.

The association awards three Scholarships of $ 500 a year to students specializing in school health education, school nursing, pediatrics, or dentistry. If applying for another specialization makes sense, a fourth $ 500 scholarship will be awarded. Other specializations in the field of school health (nutrition, counseling, etc.) will be considered if the application is accompanied by a letter indicating the student’s goals for school health. Beneficiaries will also receive a free membership year from ASHA and free registration for the ASHA Annual Conference, where the prize will be awarded.

ARN Scholarship 2019-2020

Yearly, the Association of Registered Nurses offers opportunities to its members to attend the ARN Conference. The Mary Ann Mikulic Scholarship offers one full-tuition scholarship for a first-time attendee to the ARN annual conference.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Registered Nurse
  • currently practicing in the specialty of rehabilitation nursing
  • have never previously attended an ARN conference

The scholarship covers the registration fee for one nurse. Transportation to and from the conference as well as accommodations while at the meeting must be covered by the scholarship recipient.

Are you ready to fulfill your dream of becoming a nurse, but are not sure how to pay for your education? Barbara Rhomberg Nursing Scholarship

The Barbara Rhomberg Excellence B4 nursing grant, sponsored by B4 Brands, is awarded annually to a full-time non-traditional student completing a basic nursing program. Scholars receive a non-renewable scholarship of $ 1,000, which will be paid directly to the institution in which they are enrolled for the second half of 2020.

Nursing undergraduate programs are those that offer an associate’s or undergraduate degree in nursing. Non-traditional students are those who have graduated from high school or have dropped out of college, and instead have joined the workforce or military, or completed a family or charitable engagement.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate nursing program working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Non-traditional student, defined as a student that did not immediately continue their education after high school (at least a 3-year gap between high school and enrollment in a college or university)

Note: Past winners and applicants of this scholarship are eligible to re-apply in future years.

  • Applications are not accepted prior to March 1, 2020.
  • All applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2020
  • Scholarship awards will be announced on May 1, 2020.

FNSNA Promise of Nursing Scholarship

Applicants attending nursing school in California, South Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, or Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas are eligible. A number of awards granted vary.
The Scholarship is awarded to Undergraduate Student attending a 4-year College or Two-year College. Both Full Time and Part time Nursing Students are eligible to apply.

Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship

The Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship is an Opportunity for Nurses to Apply and get Funding for School.  Application Deadlines: January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31. Two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants four times each year.

All scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Maintain at least a 3.2-grade point average in the current program or at last school attended.
  2. Be admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution affiliated with CastleBranch. OR have submitted your application to a nursing school through NursingCAS.

Due to the volume of applications received, only winners will be notified of final decisions. All winners will be announced in the AACN News Watch e-newsletter and posted on the AACN Web site.

The Tylenol Future Care Scholarship is a USA Scholarships for Nursing Students. The Scholarship is worth 10,000 USD
and Available for 40 Applicants. Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to qualify for this scholarship:

National Lung & Respiratory Scholarship

The mission of Eight and Forty is to provide help and support in the prevention and control of childhood lung disease. With the mission, they offer students attending an accredited nursing school or an accredited physiotherapy program, the “National Lung and Airway Scholarship Program.”

The 8 & 40 have the root in helping the medical community, especially professionals who are directly involved in respiratory diseases in children. The winners of the scholarship will receive scholarships of up to $ 3,000.

Candidates must attend an accredited nursing school or an accredited physical therapy program.
An applicant can apply once a year if they have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

US Air Force Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP)

The Health Professions Scholarship Program, HPSP, was created to train future health care providers.
