Fully Funded NUFFIC Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) 2018

Applications are currently ongoing for the Fully Funded NUFFIC Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) 2018 and MSP/MENA Programme. These programmes are  Former NFP, initiated and fully funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Netherlands Fellowship (OKP) and MSP/MENA Programme is open for students from the 51 eligible countries . New application rounds will start soon for the 2018 course programmes.

What you need to know about the Scholarship:

Nuffic is developing a new scholarship programme called Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP). Depending on the development of this new scholarship programme, there may be scholarship opportunities similar to NFP and MENA for future starting moments (i.e. September 2018) again. New application rounds will start from 01 February 2018.

The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) merges the Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) and NICHE into a single integrated approach.
This 5-year programme consists of 3 components:

  • Individual scholarships for professionals;
  • Tailor-made group training programmes;
  • Collaboration projects between knowledge institutions focusing on sustainable improvement of higher and professional education capacity.

Scholarship Benefit:

The scholarship value depends on the duration of your programme at the University of Twente as well as on the in-house or external components. Please note that the scholarship does not cover all the costs of the study trajectory. It is not a full fellowship. More details will follow soon.

Host Nationality:

The Scholarship is hosted in the Netherlands.

Eligible Nationality:

51 countries are  eligible country list for OKP here.  Note: Mongolia, Eritrea, Djibouti and Guinea are not part of this Master round.

Level/field of study:

Master courses. The listing is under revision and may change. In January 2018 the final list of programmes will be announced.

All relevant information including the country list about the new scholarship programme will be published on our website as soon as it becomes available. Provisional admitted students will be informed by ITC directly.

 

 

 Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) Requirements:

The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs promotes capacity building within organizations in 51 countries (please see the eligible country list for OKP here) by providing scholarships for training and education for professionals. OKP offers scholarships for short courses and master’s degree programmes.

You must meet a number of criteria that support the aim of OKP to be eligible for a scholarship. These criteria can be found at the webpage of EP-Nuffic who administers the Orange Knowledge Programme.

MSP/MENA Scholarship Programme Requirements

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Scholarship Programme (or MSP) funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers scholarships to professionals from ten countries (see the eligible country list here). The scholarships can be used for short courses, with duration up to 90 days, in the Netherlands. The University of Twente offers short (certificate) courses that qualify for MSP. You may find them via the University of Twente, Faculty ITC’s course finder, www.itc.nl/coursefinder. Short courses indicated with an OKP deadline are also eligible for MSP applications.

You must meet a number of criteria that support the aim of the MSP/MENA Scholarship Programme to be eligible for a scholarship. These criteria can be found at the webpage of EP-Nuffic who administers the MSP/MENA Scholarship Programme.
Please note that MSP/MENA is only available for short courses less than three months duration.

Easy Steps to apply for these scholarships

If you seek funding by OKP Orange Knowledge Programme or MSP/MENA Scholarship Programme to study at the University of Twente you need to apply for a course first.

The University of Twente  will determine your qualifications for a provisional nomination and pre-nomination position for OKP or MSP funding based on your academic application.

The OKP/MSP process consists of three stages:

  1. Provisional nomination
  2. Pre-nomination
  3. Selection

If you have not been pre-nominated by the University of Twente you will be informed accordingly after the first Tuesday in November, April or August, depending on the deadline that applies to your course. See table. Priority is given to others and you are advised to seek other funding.

See table. Please note this is a pre-nomination. It does not mean you acquired an OKP or a MENA scholarship yet!
